Wolves reportedly continue to talk Tyus Jones trade, Sixers could be interested
Tyus Jones looks like an expendable piece on the Minnesota Timberwolves roster, and an Eastern Conference counterpart could stand to benefit.
According to a report by Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical on Saturday, the Wolves remain engaged in trade talks on Jones. The Philadelphia 76ers are also mentioned as one specific team Minnesota has been talking with.
Minnesota still engaged in trade talks on Tyus Jones, including with Philadelphia, league sources tell @TheVertical.

Jones, 20, averaged 4.2 points and 2.9 assists per game in 37 appearances for the Wolves last year as a rookie. He is a capable second unit point guard who can score and create, but Minnesota has a logjam at the position with Ricky Rubio, Zach LaVine, and No. 5 overall pick Kris Dunn all clawing for minutes.
It’s worth noting that Philadelphia is thin in terms of point guard depth and that Jones was teammates in college at Duke with Sixers big man Jahlil Okafor when they won the national championship in 2015.
