X-rays on Anthony Davis negative after ankle sprain
Anthony Davis just cannot seem to make it through a game in one piece.
The New Orleans Pelicans star was injured again on Wednesday against the Sacramento Kings when he rolled his left ankle while grabbing a rebound in the third quarter and was forced to leave the game.

Pelicans writer Jim Eichenhofer reported that X-rays on the All-Star big man came back negative and that he was diagnosed with a sprained ankle. Davis did not ultimately return to the game, but New Orleans still won 114-101.
This script has become all too familiar for Davis, who had a similar injury scare the night before in a win over the LA Clippers. He has been a monster for the Pelicans ever since DeMarcus Cousins was lost for the season, almost singlehandedly keeping them in the playoff race with silly averages of 35.8 points and 14.8 rebounds per game since the All-Star break. Unfortunately though, it looks this latest injury could cause Davis to miss at least some time.
