X-rays negative on Devin Booker’s ankle

Devin Booker

X-rays on Devin Booker’s ankle came up negative after the guard left Wednesday night’s game with a sprained ankle.

Booker exited the Phoenix Suns’ game against the Utah Jazz in the first quarter after twisting his ankle while trying to post up. He went down in pain.

Booker left the game and was hurt badly enough that the Suns pronounced him out for the rest of the game.

The Athletic’s Shams Charania later reported that X-rays came up negative.

The Suns entered the game 18-60 and only have three more games on their schedule, which could lead them to shut Booker down the rest of the way.

Booker had been hot recently, averaging 52.3 points per game during a 3-game stretch that also included a 59-point game. He’s averaging 26.9 points per game this season.
