NASCAR Driver Kurt Busch is being investigated for domestic assault.
The Denver Police Department said in a statement on Friday that Busch’s ex-girlfriend, Patricia Driscoll, told police Wednesday that an incident took place inside Busch’s motor home at a Dover International Speedway race in September. The couple had reportedly broken up a week before.
NASCAR offered no comment on the situation as it is still under investigation. Busch has not been charged with any crime. Busch’s attorney Rusty Hardin said he expects the driver to be “vindicated” when the situation is sorted out.
Driscoll serves as the president of the Armed Forces Foundation, a nonprofit for veterans, and is also an executive at a Washington, D.C.-based defense consulting firm.
