Florida fans brought the heat during Sunday’s SEC rivalry game.
The No. 19-ranked Gators hosted the No. 23-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide on Sunday at Stephen C. O’Connell Center in Gainesville, Fla. During the first half of the contest, Alabama center Charles Bediako stepped to the line to shoot two free throws.
While Bediako was shooting, Gators fans hit him with a ruthless refrain. “G League dropout!” they chanted.

Bediako, 23, turned pro in 2023 and ended up spending multiple seasons in the NBA G League after going undrafted. He appeared in 45 total G League games for the Austin Spurs, Grand Rapids Gold, and Motor City Cruise and also previously signed a two-way deal with the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs.
However, Bediako controversially returned to the college ranks earlier this year after an Alabama judge granted him temporary eligibility. That same judge was later exposed for being a Crimson Tide team booster.
Bediako finished with just six points and seven rebounds during Sunday’s contest as Florida beat Alabama by a blowout final score of 100-77. Thus, it ended up being a very good day for Gators fans after that savage moment with Bediako at the free throw line.
