Chris Beard may soon become the most traveled head coach in college basketball.
Reports circulated on Thursday saying that Beard was offered the head coaching job at Texas Tech and had accepted the position, although that has not been confirmed.
What we do know is that Beard met with Texas Tech officials on Thursday. UNLV confirmed the meeting and sent a statement saying they play to have the situation resolved on Friday:

What is so crazy is that this would mark the fourth different head coaching job Beard would hold in a little over a year. The 43-year-old was the head coach at Angelo State from 2013-2015, then was hired by Arkansas-Little Rock last April, and he left last month for the UNLV job. Now a few weeks later he may be headed to Texas Tech.
Beard is the reigning Sun Belt Coach of the Year after leading Little Rock to the NCAA Tournament, where the team pulled off an upset win in the first round. If he does leave UNLV, then the Runnin’ Rebels would be left looking for their fourth coach since January.
