Dan D’Antoni brought a bit of his brother Mike’s freewheeling offensive style to the NCAA Tournament in a win over Wichita State.
The Thundering Herd upset the Shockers 81-75, attempting 23 three-pointers in the process. D’Antoni had a great answer when asked about his team’s lack of a post game after the contest, crediting “damn analytics” for helping him stop coaching “like a dummy” and instead looking for better shots.

D’Antoni’s brother Mike, the coach of the Houston Rockets, has his own ideas about how offense should be played. Dan’s sound pretty similar. Perhaps it’s no coincidence that the Thundering Herd did what they did on Friday.
