Hailey Van Lith made history on Saturday when she helped her TCU Horned Frogs beat Notre Dame 71-62 at Legacy Arena at BJCC in Birmingham, Ala., in the Sweet 16.
Van Lith scored 26 points with 9 rebounds while helping TCU defeat the No. 3-seeded Fighting Irish in Regional 3. The win put TCU into the Elite Eight and meant Van Lith has now reached the Elite Eight for five straight years and with three different schools.
Van Lith began her career with Louisville in the 2020-2021 season. She spent three seasons with the Cardinals and reached the Elite Eight twice and Final Four once. Then she transferred to LSU for last season and made it to the Elite Eight before losing to Caitlin Clark’s Iowa team. And now in 2025, she’s made it to the Elite Eight with a third school. She is the first college player — men’s or women’s — to reach the Elite Eight with three different schools.

Van Lith isn’t done, either. She has the chance to reach her second Final Four, and a chance of doing so with her second team. The senior guard from the state of Washington is averaging 17.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game this season. TCU is now 34-3 and enjoying their best season in school history.
