Iowa and Davidson had a light-hearted, humorous exchange on Twitter Sunday not long after their NCAA Tournament game was announced.
Iowa (21-11) is a seven seed in the South Region of the tournament and will face 10-seed Davidson (24-7). In response to the matchup, the Hawkeyes’ official university Twitter account mentioned Steph Curry to Davidson because he is the school’s most famous basketball player. What was funny was seeing the Golden State Warriors jump into the exchange:
Should we check in and make sure Curry plays with the Warriors? OK, glad that is settled.
Iowa is only a 1-point favorite in the game, so with or without Curry, the Hawkeyes better be on high alert.
