Fans attending Tuesday night’s Duke-Pitt game received quite a treat.

There is some speculation that Jay Z was there making his presence known for business purposes.

Duke has a number of top players, led by Zion Williamson, as well as RJ Barrett and Cam Reddish. Williamson and Barrett are in contention to be top draft picks, and Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports would probably love to sign either player. Showing up to watch them play is a great way to make an impression.

By the way, Williamson is a huge Jay Z fan. He said so in an Oct. 2017 blog post for USA Today.

“OK, on the music side, y’all already know what it is with Drake and how often I listen him, but lately I’ve been going back and listening to more Jay Z.

“I went back and listened to The Black Album and The Blueprint and just got reminded of how cold he is!”

Don’t be surprised if Williamson ends up signing with Roc Nation like one of last year’s top NFL picks did.
