John Calipari is being an awfully gracious host.
Coach Cal is part of the 2015 class for the Naismith Basketball Memorial Hall of Fame, and he wants all of his former players to celebrate the honor with him. So much so that he reportedly is offering to pay for their tickets to attend the event:

Calipari joins a class that also includes Jo Jo White, George Raveling, Dikembe Mutombo, Spencer Haywood, Louis Dampier, referee Dick Bavetta, Lisa Leslie, Tom Heinsohn, Lindsay Gaze and John Isaacs. He is the seventh active coach inducted into the Hall of Fame.
The enshrinement ceremony is Sept. 10-12 in Springfield, Mass.
Maybe Calipari will regale those in attendance with a story about the time he put a rival coach in check.
