Kentucky’s Reid Travis blames team for not matching Auburn’s energy
What went wrong in Kentucky’s overtime loss to Auburn in the Elite Eight on Sunday? According to Reid Travis, the Tigers simply played with more energy than the Wildcats.
Speaking with the media after the game, Travis pinpointed the energy difference as a determining factor in the outcome.

Their energy and pace has been a factor in their success all season.
Another issue you can point to for Kentucky was the poor free throw shooting as they went 12/21 (57.1 percent) at the line. They were 5/21 (23.8 percent) on threes, which didn’t help, and they didn’t have a go-to player for buckets late other than PJ Washington.
Auburn’s win was impressive and actually historic.
