Leonard Hamilton apologizes for conduct in postgame interview
Florida State coach Leonard Hamilton was apologetic Sunday, a day after a tense, awkward postgame interview following the Seminoles’ Elite Eight loss to Michigan.
Hamilton bristled at a line of questioning over why his team didn’t foul down four with 11 seconds left, nearly walking out of the interview. A day later, though, the Florida State coach admitted that he “did not initially respond to [CBS’s Dana Jacobson’s] questions as I would have liked.”

Jacobson herself defended Hamilton for his conduct, as everyone involved knows that the aftermath of a tight loss is an emotional environment. It’s good to see that, after a bit of reflection, Hamilton understood that he didn’t come across well and said something about it.
