Washington basketball coach Lorenzo Romar and football coach Steve Sarkisian took a trip to Pike Place Market Wednesday and entertained the crowd. The coaches went behind the counter and took their turns trying to snag fishes. Sarkisian made a decent grab, but Romar showed off some hands that would make Larry Fitzgerald jealous. Check out his one-handed grab of a fish at Pike Place Market via The Dagger:
Romar told The Seattle Times about the experience. “Seeing it done on television before, I thought it might be fun if someone else was doing it, but I didn’t think I’d ever do it,” Romar said. “Those guys back there were good coaches. They explained (how to use) your fingertips. They said don’t grab it this way. So I was coachable and I had a great passer. It was right there. I had to be able to catch it.”
He was coachable, and he was a stud. Who knew catching a fish could become so amusing?
