Miami beat North Carolina on Tuesday night in a wild end-of-game sequence.
North Carolina’s Joel Berry made a 3-pointer with under five seconds left to tie the game at 88. But Miami responded quickly by inbounding the ball to Ja’Quan Newton, who brought the ball up court and heaved one up just after crossing the halfcourt line. It went in to give Miami a 91-88 victory.

Newton had 15 points in the game and made his only 3-point attempt count. It was a rough blow for Berry, who scored 31 points and made 5 of 8 threes.
That was a huge win for the Hurricanes in Chapel Hill, and it couldn’t have happened in wilder fashion.
