Moritz Wagner, Omari Spellman called for double-technical fouls
Moritz Wagner and Omari Spellman were called for double-technical fouls early in the second half of Monday night’s championship game between Michigan and Villanova.
Wagner was trying to drive to the basket and flailed his elbow on the way, catching a Villanova player. A few Wildcats were not happy about it, including Spellman, who got in Wagner’s face.
There was then a game of the “hold me back” that ensued:

Both players headed to the bench after that. The foul calls hurt Michigan more than Villanova as Wagner is the Wolverines’ best player and best chance at making a comeback.
