Saint Peter’s player’s father showed awesome emotion before Elite Eight
Saint Peter’s has been the Cinderella story of the 2022 NCAA Tournament, and Matthew Lee’s father clearly is not taking the run for granted.
Lee’s father, Butch, was shown on the CBS broadcast prior to tip-off of Sunday’s Elite Eight game between Saint Peter’s and North Carolina. He was overcome with emotion.

Lee, a junior, has averaged 7.0 points per game this season.
Saint Peter’s shocked the world when they defeated No. 2-seed Kentucky in the opening round. They then went on to beat Murray State and Purdue to reach the Elite Eight. The Peacocks have already made history regardless of what happens going forward. You can understand why Lee’s dad was so emotional.
