Seth Davis picks Belmont to reach Sweet 16
It seems like every year there is at least one low-seeded team to pull off a few upsets and advance further than expected in the tournament. This year, CBS college basketball analyst Seth Davis expects Belmont to be one of those teams.
During the CBS Selection Show Sunday, Davis said “I like Belmont as my sleeper team in this tournament. I think they beat Georgetown and San Diego State and go to the Sweet 16.”
Belmont is a No. 14 seed in the Midwest Region and faces 3-seed Georgetown in the first round. They would meet the San Diego State-N.C. State winner in the second round.
Davis is picking Kentucky to win it all, saying they are “by far the best team in the tournament.”
