UCLA G Prince Ali suffers right foot or ankle injury against BYU
UCLA Bruins guard Prince Ali went down with a right foot or ankle injury during the team’s game against BYU at the Maui Jim Maui Invitational on Monday night.
Ali was trying to help defend seven minutes into the second half when he leaped to block a shot and landed near or on/under teammate Cody Riley. Ali was down in pain under the basket and pounding the floor.
He was helped off the floor and able to walk the final steps to UCLA’s bench on his own.
The senior missed nine games last season with a foot injury. He entered Monday night averaging 11.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.4 steals per game this season.
