After an extremely tough start to the 2025 season, Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning finally got the chance to have some fun at the expense of a major rival.
Manning led the Longhorns to a convincing 23-6 upset win over the Oklahoma Sooners at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Tex. on Saturday. The sophomore quarterback provided the dagger in the fourth quarter with a 29-yard run to help salt away the victory.
After the big play, Manning was not going to miss his chance to rub it in against Texas’ big rival. After getting up following the tackle, he waved goodbye to the Oklahoma fans in attendance.

It is fair to say this taunting is a lot more justified than the last time he did something like this.
Manning still failed to put together an elite day passing, but he was good enough to beat the Sooners. He went 21/27 for 166 yards with a touchdown, and did not throw an interception for only the second time this year. The Longhorns outgained Oklahoma 302-258.
Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer might not have been himself during this game, but that will not matter to Manning and the Longhorns. They needed a big win Saturday and they delivered.
