Baker Mayfield was served a taste of his own medicine on Saturday.
Mayfield’s Oklahoma Sooners were upset at home by Iowa State 38-31 in Norman. After the game, Iowa State’s Evrett Edwards planted a flag at midfield:

The flag-planting was a copycat move from Iowa State. Mayfield generated headlines for doing the same thing after upsetting Ohio State on the road this season. He later apologized. Two weeks later, Mayfield was caught talking some “who’s your daddy?” trash to Baylor before their game.
Iowa State turned around and used that line on Mayfield during Saturday’s game:

So what does Mayfield think of everything?

“It’s expected. I’m sure I’ll get comments that ‘Iowa State’s my dad’ or something like that. You expect it. It’s whatever. I’m not worried about what they’re doing; we got to get back to work,” Mayfield said.
Hey, if you’re going to dish it, Mayfield, you better be prepared to take it. And he’s taking it in a tough way after this loss.
