Bill Snyder undecided if he will return to coach next season

Bill Snyder

It may or may not be curtains for Bill Snyder’s storied head coaching career after the Cactus Bowl next week.

Speaking with reporters on Wednesday, the legendary Kansas State coach said that he is undecided if he will return to coach the team next season. Snyder also said he will not decide until after the bowl game, per Kellis Robinett of the Wichita Eagle.

Snyder has coached the team in two separate stints since 1989 for a total of 26 seasons. He holds a career record of 209-110-1 (.655).

A recent report had suggested that Snyder would return to the sideline for the 2018 season. But he just turned 78 years old and was diagnosed with throat cancer earlier this year.

Snyder led the Wildcats to a 7-5 record this season. They play the UCLA Bruins in the aforementioned Cactus Bowl on Dec. 26 in Arizona.
