Drake Stoops makes his first career catch. OU historian/statistician extraordinaire @MBrooks02 says he does not have a record of any Sooner true freshman walk-on recording a statistic in a season-opening game prior to today. #Sooners

That catch went for eight yards.
Drake Stoops was a three-star recruit according to 247 Sports. He had scholarship offers from Iowa, Air Force, Arkansas State and Ohio, in addition to Oklahoma, so it’s not as if he’s a sub-par athlete. He showed that in the opener.
