The Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Michigan Wolverines football game has been one of the biggest rivalries in all of sports for quite some time.
However, Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood doesn’t think much about the rivalry.
In an interview with John Fanta of NBC Sports, Underwood had an honest assessment.
“It’s just another game,” Underwood said. “Just, we’re guys in a different color. That’s how I see it.”
Underwood played just one season at Michigan so far, and the program paid a massive amount of money to bring in the five-star signal-caller.
Underwood went just 8-for-18 with 63 yards and an interception in Michigan’s 27-9 loss against Ohio State, which was when the Buckeyes were ranked No. 1.
After the season, Underwood decided to stay at Michigan despite Sherrone Moore being fired and Utah’s Kyle Whittingham taking over as the head coach in a string of changes.
Whittingham spoke recently about the rivalry, and he said it’s something that’s in the “back of his mind” every day, although the Michigan coach also said they have 11 games to play before getting to that one.
The rivalry has been dubbed “The Game,” and currently, Michigan leads Ohio State with 62 wins as Ohio State has 52 victories in the history of the treasured series.
This year’s showdown will be on November 28 at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
