Those who watched Tennessee outlast Georgia Tech on Monday night know that one of the big stories of the game was the odd trash can the Vols had on their sidelines.
Yes, Tennessee had a garbage can on their sideline that was decorated in Vols colors. It is used by defensive players in celebration when they cause a turnover.
“It’s never meant anything disrespectful to the opponent,” Vols coach Butch Jones said of the trash can, via the Knoxville News Sentinel. “It’s a heightened awareness of turnovers.”
But check this out: The trash can is in such high demand that Jones said on his radio show Wednesday that he’ll bring the can to the show the following week.
Butch Jones on Vol Calls: "We should have brought the trash can with us tonight to the radio show … We’ll do it next Wednesday night."

Hey, if the fans are demanding it, you have to deliver. Kudos to Jones for creating a gag that so many found enjoyable.
