Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones could be declaring for the 2015 NFL Draft.
Jones scheduled a press conference for 3:00 p.m on Thursday. He has until then to decide if he will remain at Ohio State or turn pro. A tweet he sent at around noon on Thursday made it seem like he has decided on the latter.

With the way Jones closed out the season, any decision he makes could be life-changing. That said, it would be unusual for a college quarterback to schedule a press conference to announce they will remain in school. Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota didn’t even hold press conferences to announce that they were leaving.
Declaring for the draft now makes a lot of sense for Jones. There are very few intriguing quarterback prospects beyond Mariota and Winston, and Jones’ stock may never get higher. The Buckeyes averaged 47.7 points per game in the three games he started, including wins over Alabama and Oregon in the College Football Playoff.
Jones has overcome some serious obstacles — as he reminded us with this great tweet — to become a national champion. That is a trait NFL teams will undoubtedly appreciate in addition to his freakish arm strength and impressive mobility.
