Charles Woodson Jr., the son of legendary cornerback Charles Woodson, has received a scholarship offer from a fitting school.
Woodson, a safety recruit from the class of 2027, revealed on X Wednesday that he received a scholarship offer from the Michigan Wolverines. Woodson’s father played at Michigan and won the Heisman Trophy there in 1997. Woodson Jr.’s announcement included a picture of his father.

Woodson Jr. currently plays at Lake Nona High School in Orlando, Fl. 247 Sports rates him as a four-star prospect, and noted that he received varsity snaps as a freshman in 2023. He has also received interest from other major schools, most notably Florida State.
Woodson’s father remains one of the most popular and celebrated players in Michigan football history. He played three years for the Wolverines, and was part of the 1997 team that earned a share of the national championship. He remains close to the school, and certainly suffered through the lean years before their recent return to national prominence.
Woodson Jr. would be the Wolverines’ first commit of the 2027 cycle if they were to land him.
