Cordell Broadus chooses UCLA
Snoop Dogg’s son Cordell Broadus announced on Wednesday that he has committed to UCLA.
Broadus, one of the better wide receiver recruits in the country, had reportedly narrowed his decision down to UCLA and USC. Snoop is a huge USC fan, and he said earlier this week that it would “mean the world” to him if his son became a Trojan. After Cordell made his decision, Snoop completely changed his tune.
“We totally stand by his decision to go to UCLA,” the rapper told ESPN. “We’re Bruins now. UCLA presented the best platform that we thought, as a family, was going to look out for (Cordell) when his career is over with. That’s what’s important — to make sure he gets a degree and an education.”
Snoop even joked that he is going to throw out all of his USC underwear now.
UCLA was the first team to offer Broadus a scholarship, and Snoop later repped the Bruins despite his supposed loyalty to USC. Broadus should be a nice get for Jim Mora.
