Everyone said the same thing about UTSA-Marshall bowl game

Owen McCown and Cole Pennington warm up before a bowl game

UTSA and Marshall squared off in the Frisco Bowl on Wednesday, and many viewers had the same reaction when they saw the starting quarterbacks in the game.

Owen McCown started at quarterback for UTSA. Cole Pennington was under center for the Thundering Herd. McCown is the son of former NFL quarterback Josh McCown, and Pennington is the son of ex-NFL quarterback Chad Pennington. The fact that McCown and Pennington have college-age sons made many fans feel very old.

Josh McCown last played in the NFL in 2020. Chad Pennington has not played since 2010, but many fans who are currently in their 20s and 30s grew up watching both.

Owen McCown, a freshman, went 22/31 for 251 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions while leading UTSA to a 35-17 win. Cole Pennington, also a freshman, finished 15/33 for 258 yards.
