Notre Dame gave Georgia a heck of a run in Athens on Saturday night before falling 23-17. They left a strong impression on the Bulldogs despite the loss.
Georgia offensive lineman Isaiah Wilson said after the game that he considered the Fighting Irish a “playoff team” and top-10 squad.

Notre Dame entered the game ranked No. 7 in the country in both polls. Though they have a loss, they probably won’t slip to lower than 14th.
This was the Irish’s toughest game on the schedule. They also have Virginia, USC and Michigan remaining as what should be their tougher games. They could very easily go 11-1 and be in the conversation to make the College Football Playoff this season. Just don’t tell that to Paul Finebaum.
