A member of Georgia’s coaching staff got a little too excited on the sideline Saturday, and one of the players paid the price.
Georgia players and coaches were celebrating after the team got off the field following a big play. Defensive back Rico McGraw was one of them, and a very excited Georgia assistant, Mike Ekeler, gave him a celebratory helmet slap. All of that is okay, except Ekeler hit him way too hard, injuring him.
McGraw required medical attention on the sideline after his head appeared to snap back. Luckily, he ended up being okay.
Rico McGraw, he of the head slap injury from Mike EKeler, was back on the field that series.

Ekeler had best hope this isn’t factored in when Georgia evaluates the coaching staff.
