Jalen Hurts cracks joke about Da’Ron Payne’s receiving ability

Daron Payne touchdown

Da’Ron Payne was one of the best stories of the Sugar Bowl on Monday night.

The defensive lineman used his superb hands to grab an interception in the third quarter. A few plays later, he caught a touchdown to put Bama up 17-6.

The internet, of course, loved it:

Payne was named most outstanding defensive player of the game. He was a huge part of Bama’s 24-6 win over Clemson that sent the Tide to the championship game against Georgia and provided one of the biggest turning points.
