
Mississippi State football signee Jeffery Simmons apologized via Facebook for his actions on Thursday night, which include beating up a woman on video.
Video of Simmons and another woman beating up a woman was released by WCBI. It shows Simmons and another woman punching and kicking a woman on the ground:
Jeffery Simmons wrote an apology on Facebook for his actions and says he was wrong. In his statement, he said he was defending the honor of a deceased family member. He also apologized to Sophia Taylor and the Taylor family. It’s unclear whether Sophia Taylor was the victim in the video.

Simmons is a five-star recruit from Macon, Miss. and was recruited by most SEC schools. He is a member of the 2016 recruiting class.
