If Jameis Winston’s Instagram account is to be believed, John O’Korn is transferring to Texas.
Winston posted on Instagram Sunday about attending a Joel Osteen church service along with O’Korn. Here is what he wrote as part of his caption:
“S/O to my dawg @johnokorn5 the next great QB at the University of Texas!”
O’Korn had a great freshman season at Houston but was benched midway through this season after struggling with just six touchdowns and eight interceptions. The word over the past few days was that he was looking to transfer. Florida, Miami, Wisconsin and Syracuse were mentioned in addition to Texas, but it sounds like the youngster has chosen the Longhorns.
O’Korn will have to sit out the season due to transfer rules. He was the AAC’s Rookie of the Year in 2013.
