JT Barrett will pay a $400 fine and his driver’s license was suspended 180 days for operating a vehicle while intoxicated on Halloween.
According to the story, a heavily drunk friend stopped by Barrett’s place, and the Ohio State quarterback drove him home. But Barrett was slightly intoxicated himself and was stopped at a DUI checkpoint. His BAC was 0.099.
Barrett was already suspended a game by Ohio State and had his scholarship revoked for next year as a result of the misdemeanor.
“I’m just truly sorry,” Barrett said in a statement.
Barrett will be the Buckeyes’ starter in their game against Illinois on Saturday.
