Kash Daniel apologized during a podcast interview for his infamous incident with Kyle Trask and explained what led to his actions.
Daniel was shown on video grabbing the Florida quarterback’s foot and twisting it during his Wildcats’ 29-21 loss to the Gators in September.
The former Kentucky linebacker talked about it on the Saturday Down South podcast.
“It was one of those moments when I just blacked out,” Daniel said on the podcast. “Honest to God, I really don’t remember it happening. I was just caught up in the moment. There’s no other excuse for it. It was stupid. It was bulls—-. Ultimately, I felt really bad about it.”
Daniel said his actions finally sunk in when he watched a replay of the game a week later and saw the reaction from Trask’s mother. That’s when he knew he messed up.
Daniel had 58 tackles last season and has been recognized for his outspokenness. He went undrafted and is hoping to land a free agent NFL deal.
