Kenny Dillingham goes nuts after Arizona State win taken away
Kenny Dillingham went absolutely berserk after an initial Arizona State win was taken off the board on Saturday.
Dillingham’s Sun Devils were leading the BYU Cougars 28-23 and intercepted a pass from Jake Retzlaff with a minute left. The Sun Devils had the ball at the BYU 3-yard line and seemed to have the game completely in hand since BYU only had two timeouts. But then some crazy things happened.
Dillingham instructed quarterback Sam Leavitt to run backwards twice to take time off the clock. BYU used both of its timeouts. ASU then took two delay of game penalties before having Leavitt heave the ball out of bounds on fourth down.
The clock went to zero on Leavitt’s throw, which had Arizona State and its fans thinking they had won 28-23. The fans in attendance at Mountain America Stadium in Tempe, Ariz., began to rush the field.
However, there was a problem as the officials reviewed the play to see whether time should have been put back on the clock and BYU given the ball. The officials correctly determined that BYU was supposed to possess the ball with time left, giving them an extra play.
Dillingham went nuts upon finding out the officials were going to put time back on the clock.
Kenny Dillingham is NOT HAPPY after hearing one second will be put back on the clock 😳

After a delay, the game resumed and BYU attempted a Hail Mary. Unbelievably, they completed their pass attempt but were tackled short of the end zone. That gave Arizona State a 28-23 win in one of the wildest endings of the season.
Here is another angle of Dillingham bugging out.
