Benny Snell will be looking to cement his place in Kentucky history with a strong performance in the Citrus Bowl on Sunday, and we can almost guarantee he will have the dopest footwear on the field whether he does that or not.
On Monday, Snell unveiled the cleats he will be wearing when the Wildcats take on Penn State. They feature an Elton John-themed design with the phrase “B-B-Benny and the Cats.”
If you don’t get the reference (and you should be embarrassed if not), Snell is of course paying homage to Elton’s hit song “Bennie and the Jets.”
Snell is eyeing Kentucky’s all-time rushing record, and that is one of the reasons he has decided to take part in the Citrus Bowl rather than sitting out like many other star players have in advance of the NFL Draft. While he’ll have a tough task going up against Penn State, he is not all that far from accomplishing his goal.
