“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the loss of one of our student-athletes, Tajh Boyd,” the statement read. “Tajh joined our Liberty Football family as recently as January and his impact on the program will be felt for years to come.”
Boyd was fresh out of high school as a member of Liberty’s 2023 recruiting class. The three-star recruit won consecutive state championships at Oscar F. Smith High School in Chesapeake, Va., and was a second team All-Region selection as a junior.
