Marshall player got physical with stadium worker
A Marshall player got into a scuffle with a stadium worker on Saturday in a fairly bizarre scene.
Thundering Herd defensive back Josh Moten got into it with a Sun Belt staffer at the end of Marshall’s 42-35 win over Old Dominion at S.B. Ballard Stadium in Norfolk, Va. The staffer was actually knocked to the ground during the incident, and multiple people had to intervene in the scuffle.

The incident appeared to start when the staffer, apparently a ball boy, tried to knock the football out of Moten’s hands at the end of the game.

Moten issued an apology on social media early Sunday, admitting that his “emotions got the best of me.”
I’m sorry for the incident after the game yesterday. That’s not what I’m about. Intense game and, in that moment, emotions got the best of me. To ODU and to my team, I’m sorry it took attention away from a great game.

Moten had five total tackles and an interception in the victory. He has been one of Marshall’s top defensive players in 2024, as this was his fourth interception of the season.
