Report: Matt Rhule has no interest in Browns job
Matt Rhule has done such an incredible job turning around Baylor’s program that his name has been coming up in connection with NFL jobs. Rhule was in the running for the Jets job last year. This year, he’s being mentioned for other vacancies as well.
The Carolina Panthers reportedly plan to interview Rhule.

The Cleveland Browns fired Freddie Kitchens on Sunday, so some brought up Rhule’s name for that job as well. However, former Browns GM Michael Lombardi says Rhule would not have interest in the Cleveland job.

College football reporter Brett McMurphy says Rhule has no plans to interview with teams at this time.

That may be because Rhule is preparing to coach Baylor against Georgia in the Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day. The 44-year-old head coach has Baylor 11-2 this season. They were 1-11 in his first year on the job. Prior to taking the Baylor gig, Rhule was at Temple for four years and finished with consecutive double digit win seasons.
