The Miami Hurricanes football program has a pretty awesome incentive program that involves a gaudy piece of jewelry.
During Saturday’s season opener against Bethune Cookman, Miami defensive back Malek Young was spotted on the sideline wearing a giant gold chain with the signature “U” hanging from it. As it was pointed out on the broadcast, the chain is awarded to a player who is responsible for causing a turnover. Take a look and listen below.

Early in the fourth quarter, Young intercepted a pass by Bethune Cookman’s Larry Brihm Jr. in the end zone and returned it to the 24 yard line. For his efforts, Young was the recipient of an awesome “reward.”
