A Notre Dame football player offered some bulletin board material ahead of the team’s game this weekend against Virginia Tech.
Notre Dame and Virginia Tech will meet in prime time on Saturday night at Lane Stadium. Theirs is one of three games that day between Top 25 teams. Neither team should be short on motivation heading into the game. However, Fighting Irish offensive lineman Liam Eichenberg provided a quote that will likely find its way into the Hokies locker room.
“It’s gonna be loud. But our stadium is loud. I’m excited to go in there, kick the s— out of them, get a win, then get out of there,” Eichenberg said, via Pete Sampson of The Athletic.
If Lane Kiffin can fabricate bulletin board material in an attempt to motivate his team, that should be plenty for Virginia Tech.
Notre Dame comes in 5-0 and ranked No. 6 in the country. At No. 24, Virginia Tech will be looking to defend their home turf and hand the Fighting Irish their first loss of the season. If Notre Dame stays undefeated, Eichenberg may be even more boastful afterward. If Virginia Tech wins, we can probably count on a member of the Hokies making reference to Eichenberg’s comments from this week.
