Notre Dame reached into its bag of tricks early in its game against Virginia Saturday.
The Fighting Irish had a 4th and goal from the Cavaliers’ 7-yard line on their first offensive possession of the game. They lined up for a field goal but ran an interesting version of the LSU fake:

What a beautiful hole they opened up on that play. That made it 6-0 Irish, and it stayed that way because Notre Dame missed a two-point conversion.
