Oxford Police apologizes for tweet about Ed Orgeron
The famously cheeky Oxford Police Department Twitter account apologized Saturday for sending a tweet trolling LSU about its hiring of Ed Orgeron as head coach.
Here’s the tweet sent by the police department earlier on Saturday, that was later deleted:
“LOLSU #YAWYAWYAW” the tweet said, via Saturday Down South.
They later sent this apology:
We apologize to LSU Nation for our tweet earlier about Coach Orgeron. We wish him the best as Head Coach of LSU.

Why such a harsh reaction from their police department? It may have something to do with the 10-25 record Orgeron put up during his three seasons as head coach at Ole Miss. Clearly they don’t think much of Coach O, which is a much different opinion from the program’s players.
