The Pac-12 football coaches teleconference returned to action this Tuesday ahead of the beginning of the college football season. Unfortunately, a feed of Rush Limbaugh’s radio show cut in while Oregon State coach Mike Riley was speaking, leading to an awkward, confusing minute.
Riley was asked whether any other position took him as long to name a starter besides quarterback (he named Sean Mannion the starter over Cody Vaz), and that’s when the Limbaugh feed cut in.
“Since you’re a liberal, and you support choice …” Limbaugh said.
Riley could be heard saying, “hello?” on a few occasions as Limbaugh prattled on.
Alas they finally got the issue solved, allowing the coaches to get back to what they enjoy doing most … answering questions from the media.
