Watch: PJ Fleck crowd surfs in locker room after Minnesota upsets Penn State
In many ways, Minnesota coach P.J. Fleck is the life of the party. He’s turned the entire program around, and Saturday’s win over Penn State to move to 9-0 is his biggest triumph yet.
So Fleck celebrated in the only way that seemed proper for a guy like him: supported by his players, he crowd-surfed in the home locker room.

This is Fleck in a nutshell. His “row the boat” catchphrase made him something of a curiosity nationally, and it’s something he’s been happy to lean into. He’s backed that motto with results at Western Michigan and now at Minnesota. The Gophers just knocked off an unbeaten rival in Penn State and may well move into the top ten on Monday. You’d be hard-pressed to find a program anywhere in the nation having more fun than the Gophers are right now.
