Purdue fans rush the field after record-setting win over Ohio State

Purdue fans rush field

Purdue put together one of their biggest football wins in the program’s recent history, and their fans knew exactly how to celebrate.

Boilermakers fans rushed the field on Saturday after the team’s stunning 49-20 upset blowout win over Ohio State:

Some LBS family was at the game and sent in video of how things looked with the field covered with fans:

Purdue entered the final quarter holding a 21-6 lead. After the Buckeyes scored to make it 28-13 with under 10 minutes left, some felt the comeback was on. Instead, Purdue extended their lead with three more touchdowns, two coming on long plays and a third coming on a pick-six.

David Blough threw for 378 yards and 3 touchdowns, while DJ Knox ran for three scores. Purdue’s 49 points was a school record against Ohio State. They have now won four in a row following a disappointing 0-3 start, while the Buckeyes lost their first game of the season.
