Rich Rodriguez’s daughter Raquel is a freshman at the University of Arizona, and she is also a member of the cheerleading team.
It’s strange that it’s mid-November and towards the end of the college football season and we’re just now learning this information, but it came up when Rodriguez talked about celebrating after Arizona’s 27-26 win over Washington.

After digging up some info, we’ve come to find out that Raquel is a huge football fan — shocker — and she seems to be close to her father.
Last year, the Arizona Daily Star wrote about Rich taking Raquel to a concert.
“I took my daughter to the Travis Tritt concert last night – what a show,” Rodriguez said last April. “He performed for an hour and a half straight. It was great. You know that’s the first concert I’ve been to since Pat Benatar in 1982.”
Rich’s wife, Rita, is a big football fan as well and has been involved in his teams since he began coaching. Naturally, she started taking their kids to the fields, too, and that made them a football family.
In addition to loving football and being a cheerleader, Raquel is experienced with gymnastics and enjoys movies, according to an article on GOAZCATS.com.
In her profile on the UA site, Raquel lists her hobbies as working out, baking and sports. She also lists her parents as her role models, which means they’re doing a good job raising her.
