Ryan Hilinski, the brother of late former Washington State quarterback Tyler Hilinski, made a big announcement Wednesday about his future.
Hilinski announced that he has committed to South Carolina. In a note posted on Twitter, Hilinski said that he asked his late brother for guidance and that helped him make his decision.
Big Ty! The time has come. Thank you for everything yesterday… I’m bringing you and the family with me!

Hilinski is finishing his junior year at Orange Lutheran High School in Southern California. He had scholarship offers from several Pac-12, SEC and Big Ten schools to choose from.
Hilinski is rated by 247 Sports as a four-star QB. It’s been under three months since his brother Tyler committed suicide. Tyler was a star quarterback at Upland High School and was in line to become the starter for Washington State next season.
